After graduating from Trinity College with a BA in social studies, Douglas (Doug) Grant became an eighth-grade US history teacher at Northside Independent School District in San Antonio. Aside from his work as a teacher, Douglas Grant enjoys visiting Muller’s Ark Ranch.

Situated in the scenic Texas Hill Country, Muller’s Ark Ranch encompasses 100 acres and offers a wide variety of accommodations to suit visitors. Perched on a promontory above the Medina River, the area boasts some of the most notable vistas in the Hill Country, and the ranch is just a 10-minute drive away from Bandera, known as the Cowboy Capital of the World.

One of the many lodging options is the Muller's Ark Caboose, an actual antique train caboose that was converted into modern living quarters complete with a wooden deck on the backside, full kitchen, television, shower, and two beds. The largest rental home on the premise is the Hide-Away, which boasts three bedrooms and two baths on a 10-acre private lake dedicated to fishing.
